About Us

For new restauranteurs and commercial kitchen operators, the choice of equipment can be bewildering. That’s where Berlin’s comes in. Berlin’s offers everything from complete custom design of food service spaces to equipment, smallwares, tables and chairs; and navigating all those choices can help set a restaurant operator on the right path to success.

Buying equipment for a new restaurant is less a shopping spree, and more a strategic planning session. The most important decision, in many cases, is what type of food is to be served and a firm overall concept. “For us, the most important step is meeting and starting the working relationship … It’s about learning, what is it that Restaurateur is looking to do? The next question is, do you have a location? We really have to look at workflow, function and space” [Jeff Mair, CFSP].

Berlin’s works together with drawings from architects and engineers when provided to determine the ideal food service layout, and then populates the space with all the food service equipment needed. “We are the liaison between the customer and what’s available, and we find them the most efficient and budget-conscious equipment that’s out there so that they can be successful,” Mair says. “It’s a gradual step-by-step process of narrowing down choices.” For a first-time restaurant operator, making the right choices has always been key: it’s even more so now, given the competition in a crowded restaurant scene.
