True Refrigeration

True Refrigeration has been an industry leader in commercial refrigeration since 1945. True Refrigeration provides a wide range of American-made commercial refrigeration products that exceed industry quality standards at competitive prices. As a privately-owned business, True Refrigeration has the unique ability to adjust swiftly and decisively to market trends, employ new strategies for meeting the commercial refrigerator needs of their customers, and address the increasing demands for social responsibility in the True refrigerator manufacturing process.

True Refrigeration product lines include retail and residential, as well as a full lineup of food service products including reach-ins, food prep tables, undercounter refrigerators, worktops, chef bases, milk coolers, merchandisers, display cases and underbar refrigeration.

The story of True refrigeration began in 1945 when Robert (Bob) J. Trulaske returned from WW II. One night while out a bar, Bob had the idea of using electric-powered refrigeration for commercial use. With the help of some family members, the first ever commercial refrigeration units were born, right in the Trulaske backyard. Today, that same innovation and passion is carried out by Bob’s son, Steve Trulaske, the current CEO of True Manufacturing.

At True Refrigeration, they are not only interested in a leadership role in the commercial refrigeration industry, but also as being leaders and models in efficient, responsible manufacturing worldwide. This includes reducing the carbon footprint and being committed to responsible and sustainable commercial refrigeration manufacturing. True Refrigeration is proud to have pioneered R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Hydrocarbons have no ozone depleting properties and are over 1300 times better for the environment than HFC refrigerants. True Refrigeration is committed to our green promise as well as continuing to make your world cooler.

Since 1945 True commercial refrigeration has taken pride in both manufacturing American made goods and also creating jobs for Americans. True’s 3.7 million square feet of manufacturing facilities are all located in the St. Louis region of Missouri and offer great careers for many Americans.
