The Firex story: Enhancing tradition through technology
Twenty years ago, Italian chefs were faced with the challenge of preserving their culinary traditions as they moved beyond the bistro to larger catering services. The ability to bring authentic, high-level cuisine to larger markets was a matter of national pride.
A small group of Italian food service experts heard the call, and Firex was born. The team of innovators began to design cooking equipment that could scale high-level cuisine to the industrial kitchen. By automating key elements of the cooking process, Firex was able to increase capacity while giving chefs more control over results than ever before possible.
Over time, Firex has continued to leverage the latest advances in technology to speed cooking times, control temperature, reduce labor, and enhance kitchen safety. In 2019, Firex joined the Middleby Corporation, the world’s leading producer of commercial food service equipment, to ensure our products could reach new markets in commercial food service.
Thanks to this partnership, a growing number of operations around the globe, from centralized kitchens to cafeterias, now rely on Firex products to simplify their operations while taking ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
