Duty Levels
Midea light duty microwave ovens feature 1000 watts of power with a 0.9 cubic foot capacity that can accommodate a 12” platter. Medium duty units feature 1000 to 1400 watts of power, depending on the model, with a 1.2 cubic foot capacity that can accommodate a 14” platter. Heavy duty units feature dual magnetrons with top and bottom energy feed and 1200 to 2100 watts of power, depending on the model. They are available in a compact 0.6 cubic foot model that accommodates a 12” platter or a 1.2 cubic foot model that accommodates a 14” platter.
Controls
Midea microwaves are available with a variety of control packages. Units with a 6-minute dial type timer operate at full power for simple and intuitive operation. The timer resets when the door is open. Push button models feature an LED display with either 5 or 11 power levels, depending on the model, and 3 cooking stages. They feature the ability to enter up to 100 auto programs for individual menu items with a maximum of 60-minute cooking time for each. Models are available with both dial and push button controls. Some models also include a USB port for simple menu updates.
Construction
Midea microwaves are designed for the demands of a commercial kitchen. They feature a stainless steel cabinet, door, and oven cavity. Durable doors open more than 90° for easy access and feature easy grab and go handles. They are UL, CUL and ETL listed. Midea offers Chef/Test Kitchen Support.
